St. Jude Loses Occlutech Heart Implant IP Row In The Hague

Law360, New York (May 29, 2012, 3:30 PM ET) -- Occlutech GmbH said Tuesday that the Dutch Supreme Court had tossed patent infringement claims brought by a St. Jude Medical Inc. unit over minimally invasive implants used to treat structural heart disease.

The high court, located in The Hague, upheld rulings by a Dutch court of first instance and an appeals court, both of which dismissed claims that Occlutech's cardiac occlusion devices infringed AGA Medical Inc.'s European Patent Number 0808138, according to a Occlutech statement.
