Jury Awards $6M To Egg Co. In IP Row With Michael Foods

Law360, New York (June 12, 2012, 8:33 PM ET) -- Michael Foods Inc. must pay $5.8 million in damages, a Wisconsin federal jury decided Monday, after the food processing company was found to have infringed three patents held by competitor National Pasteurized Eggs Inc.

The jury's verdict, which brings to a close a dispute between the rival food processing companies, also found that three separate patents held by the Minnesota-based Michael Foods were invalid.
