Schneider Electric Must Pay $45M: China Patent Suit

Law360, New York (October 01, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- French electrical company Schneider Electric was ordered on Saturday to pay a Chinese company 330 million yuan ($45 million) in damages after losing a patent infringement case in a Western China court.

The Wenzhou Intermediate Court of Zhejiang province ordered Schneider Electric to pay the 330 million yuan in compensation to the Chint Group for violating patents for low-voltage electrical equipment.
