Law360, New York (December 21, 2012, 3:35 PM ET) -- Paramount Pictures Corp. and the estate of “The Godfather” author Mario Puzo on Thursday settled the studio's trademark and copyright infringement lawsuit aiming to block the estate's plans for a new unauthorized sequel novel.
The parties submitted a joint stipulation to dismiss each claim and counterclaim with prejudice, saying they reached a settlement. No details of the deal were released. Attorneys for both parties declined to comment Friday. Paramount filed suit in February.
