Law360, New York (February 05, 2013, 4:21 PM ET) -- A Puerto Rican company fired off a litany of lawsuits Monday against Panasonic Corp., Toshiba Corp., Canon Inc. and six others, alleging their digital surveillance cameras infringe two of its patents surrounding motion detection and security breach notifications.
Canatelo LLC says the companies are knowingly using a patent that lets digital video cameras send emails with attached JPEG photos to their owners when the camera has detected movement.
