Law360, Los Angeles (February 5, 2013, 6:05 PM ET) -- Medical equipment manufacturer Stryker Corp. on Tuesday won a $70 million jury verdict for damages in a patent suit it brought against rival medical device maker Zimmer Inc., after the jury found Zimmer infringed three patents covering surgical irrigation device technology.
The Michigan federal jury found that Zimmer had willfully infringed all three patents in question and awarded damages to Stryker, which holds the patents relating to technology for a battery-powered pulsed lavage used for orthopedic surgery.
