Law360, New York (February 08, 2013, 7:18 PM ET) -- AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals LP and Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd. on Friday settled a patent infringement suit over AstraZeneca’s drug Seroquel XR after Torrent agreed to delay their production of a generic, according to a motion filed in New Jersey federal court.
As part of the consent judgment, Torrent admitted AstraZeneca’s patent on the anti-depressant is enforceable and valid, and agreed not to produce a generic version of Seroquel XR until November 2016.
Representatives for the parties did not immediately respond to requests for comment Friday.
