Law360, New York (February 15, 2013, 2:22 PM ET) -- Patent-holding company Advanced Auctions LLC sued eBay Inc. in California federal court on Wednesday, claiming the online retailer is infringing its patent that covers online auction information display technology.
At issue is the manner in which eBay displays price and time information for auctions it conducts on its website. Advanced Auctions contends eBay infringes its patent by displaying automatic updates of bid and pricing information in the final hour of each of its auctions.
