Law360, New York (February 27, 2013, 7:31 PM ET) -- Bayco Products Inc. launched a suit in Texas federal court Tuesday alleging Koninklijke Philips Electronics NV was attempting to "bully" the lighting company into paying unwarranted patent royalties, and seeks a ruling that its products do not infringe Philips' patents.
According to the suit, Philips has been claiming for months that Wiley, Texas-based Bayco has been selling products that Philips has patented. But Bayco contends the patents neither "cover nor relate" to its goods.
