ITC To Probe Fluorescent Lamp Imports For IP Violations

Law360, New York (February 27, 2013, 6:32 PM ET) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission on Wednesday said it had voted to launch an investigation into certain compact fluorescent reflector lamps following an Illinois lighting manufacturer’s accusation that its rivals have been importing products that infringe its patented reflector design.

The complaint, filed by Neptun Light Inc. and founder Andrzej Bobel, asked the trade body to probe whether Maxlite Inc., Technical Consumer Products Inc., Satco Products Inc. and Litetronics International Inc. breached Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930 by importing patent-infringing products.
