Law360, New York (December 18, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- Universal Music Group Inc. and XM Satellite Radio Holdings Inc. have settled a lawsuit over whether an XM receiver with built-in recording ability violates Universal's copyrights, the companies announced Monday.
As part of the deal, Universal has become the first company to reach a “multi-year deal covering all XM radios with advanced recording functionality,” according to a joint press release from the companies. They did not disclose any further details of the settlement.
