Amazon May Get To Depose Apple Surveyors In Appstore Row

Law360, San Francisco (March 28, 2013, 3:53 PM ET) -- A California federal judge indicated Thursday she will likely let Amazon.com Inc. depose two Apple Inc. consultants who helped conduct public surveys on the phrase “app store,” suggesting the retailer is entitled to their testimony in the case accusing Amazon's Appstore of infringing Apple's trademark on the term. 

Although she did not issue a formal ruling at Thursday's hearing, U.S. District Court Magistrate Judge Jacqueline Scott Corley appeared to side with Amazon's argument that its attorneys should be allowed to depose Brian Dragun and Tim Hoffman,...
