Jury Clears Sony In $84M TVI Autoplay Patent Dispute

Law360, San Francisco (March 28, 2013, 8:11 PM ET) -- Sony Corp.'s Playstation 3 and Blu-Ray players didn't infringe four TV Interactive Data Corp. patents on video disc autoplay technology, a California federal jury unanimously found Thursday, invalidating every patent claim at issue and ending TVI’s bid for $84 million in purported damages.
