11 Cellular Cos. Dismissed From Minerva Patent Suit

Law360, New York (January 09, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Just one day after a slew of cellular phone companies lashed out at patent infringement allegations brought by Minerva Industries Inc., a federal judge has granted a motion to dismiss the case against 11 of the defendants.

Motorola Inc., AT&T Mobility LLC, T-Mobile USA Inc. and other companies went on the attack in a joint filing Monday, asserting that their phones did not infringe Minerva’s patent and that the patent was invalid anyway.
