Law360, New York (January 28, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Cable company Suddenlink Communications was hit with a lawsuit Friday that accuses it of infringing a patent related to video-on-demand technology.

Suddenlink is the latest cable provider to be sued by VTran Media Technologies over U.S. Patent Numbers 4,890,320 and 4,995,078 — both titled “Television broadcast system for selective transmission of viewer-chosen programs at viewer-requested times.” VTran filed nearly identical suits in October against Time Warner Cable Inc., Comcast Corp., Verizon Communications Inc. and Charter Communications Inc.
