Judge Finds Alcatel-Lucent Infringed Microsoft Patent

Law360, New York (January 29, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- An administrative law judge for the U.S. International Trade Commission has determined that French firm Alcatel-Lucent infringed one of Microsoft Corp.’s patents covering devices that integrate telephones and computers.

Judge Paul Luckern ruled Monday that Alcatel-Lucent’s OmniPCX Enterprise technology violated Microsoft’s patent and said the unified communication system should be barred from being imported into the U.S.
