Facebook Beats Think Computer Bid To Trademark 'FaceMail'

Law360, New York (July 26, 2013, 7:21 PM ET) -- The Trademark Trial and Appeal Board on Tuesday rejected Think Computer Corp.'s bid to trademark the word "FaceMail" for email services, finding that it is confusingly similar to the trademarked name of Facebook Inc.

The board sustained the social networking giant's opposition to the mark, noting that Facebook offers email and messaging services and that FaceMail could be misleading.
