Speed Dating Co. Hits Match.com With $6M Trade Secrets Suit

Law360, New York (October 22, 2013, 1:48 PM ET) -- Speed Date USA Inc. filed a $5.65 million suit against Match.com in Pennsylvania federal court Monday, accusing the online dating service of prematurely breaking off a two-year contract and misappropriating its trade secrets.

The speed dating service says that Match.com terminated its two-year contract with the company 12 months early and canceled a total of 86 events in breach of their agreement. The suit also alleges Match.com terminated the contract upon learning Speed Date's trade secrets and used them to run its own speed dating events...
