Law360, New York (March 11, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Mid-Hudson Cablevision Inc. has become the latest cable company to be sued by patent-holding company VTran Media Technologies LLC over video-on-demand services.
In the past several months, Marshall, Texas-based VTran has filed suit against cable providers around the country, claiming their video-on-demand offerings violate two of its patents.
Suits have been filed against nearly every national player in the cable industry, including Time Warner Cable, Comcast Corp. and Verizon Communications Inc., as well as regional companies like Metrocast Cablevision of New Hampshire.
