High Court Clears Way For More Challenges To Vague Patents

Law360, New York (June 02, 2014, 10:26 AM ET) -- The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday gave powerful ammunition to companies seeking to invalidate patents for being overly vague, unanimously casting aside a Federal Circuit standard for proving that a patent is indefinite that the justices said allowed too much ambiguity in patents.
