Microsoft, Aloft Settle Claims In 3 Patent Suits

Law360, New York (October 07, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Microsoft Corp. has reached a settlement with patent-holding company Aloft Media LLC that will allow the computer technology giant to bow out of three suits alleging patent infringement of certain Web browser applications and software.

U.S District Judge Leonard Davis of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, who is assigned to all three suits, signed two orders approving stipulations of dismissal between Microsoft and Aloft on Monday, four days after he dismissed Microsoft from a third Aloft patent suit.
