Fairchild, Alpha & Omega Resolve Patent Dispute

Law360, New York (October 21, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- A patent dispute between Fairchild Semiconductor Corp. and rival Alpha & Omega Semiconductor Inc. ended on Monday when the companies settled infringement claims against each other by agreeing to license each other’s patents.

The settlement puts to rest a lawsuit filed by Sunnyvale, Calif.-based Alpha & Omega against South Portland, Maine-based Fairchild last year in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
