Law360, New York (October 27, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Medical technology company NMT Medical Inc. has sued W.L. Gore & Associates Inc., alleging the consumer products giant has infringed a patent for an implant device used to treat atrial defects in the heart.
The lawsuit, filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, claims that W.L. Gore’s Helex septal occluder violates NMT’s patented invention for closing cardiovascular septal defects.
