U.K. Patent Bill Would Encourage Settlements, Deter "Unreasonable" Infringement Suits
The bill, introduced in the House of Lords on Jan. 15, includes measures that would modify existing protection for alleged infringers to encourage out-of-court settlement of disputes while still deterring patent owners from making unreasonable allegations of infringement, the Patent Office.
