Law360, New York (January 20, 2004, 12:00 AM ET) -- A small New York company has settled a lawsuit against Microsoft, HMV and other companies over a European patent for music downloading onto tangible devices.
E-Data Corporation penned a world-wide royalty agreement with Germany’s On Demand Distribution GmbH, settling its litigation over the company’s patented technology for downloading and recording information online.
Financial terms of the agreement, such as the size of royalty payments, were not available.
