Judge Nixes Amazon, Girafa Bids In Web Patent Suit

Law360, New York (January 29, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- A federal judge has shot down Girafa.com Inc.’s bid to add another defendant to its suit that accuses Amazon.com Inc. and several e-commerce companies of infringing its patent for providing thumbnail images in Web searches, and she has also rejected Amazon’s motion seeking sanctions.
