DuPont Accuses Rival Of Stealing Kevlar Trade Secrets

Law360, New York (February 03, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- DuPont Co. has accused South Korea's Kolon Industries Inc. of acquiring trade secrets related to DuPont's Kevlar technology and using them to create rival products.

In a suit filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, DuPont alleged that Kolon courted and eventually developed a business relationship with a former DuPont employee who provided them with confidential information about Kevlar, a “para-aramid fiber” used in body armor and automotive products.
