Court Clears Two Asian Giants In DRAM Feud

Law360, New York (August 28, 2006, 12:00 AM ET) -- After years of accusations and counterclaims, a New Jersey federal court has ruled that Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. and Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. Ltd. did not infringe on each other's dynamic random access memory (DRAM) chip patents.

On Friday, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey decided that neither company violated the disputed chip technology, Samsung revealed in a regulatory filing.
