LG, Motorola, Nokia Infringe GPS Patent: Suit

Law360, New York (March 25, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- LG Electronics Inc., Motorola Inc., Nokia Corp. and other telecommunications heavyweights have been targeted in a lawsuit brought by a unit of ITT Corp. for allegedly infringing a patent for processing data from a GPS.

ITT Manufacturing Enterprises Inc. lodged the suit on Monday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, accusing LG, Motorola, Nokia, Qualcomm Inc., Verizon Wireless and Kyocera Corp. of infringing a patent titled “Hybrid GPS/data line unit for rapid, precise and robust position determination.”
