WIPO Launches Electronic Filings Of International Patent Applications

Law360, New York (February 12, 2004, 12:00 AM ET) -- The World Intellectual Property Organization on Thursday launched electronic filings of international patent applications, the Geneva-based United Nations agency said.

Under the new system, applicants from all of the Patent Cooperation Treaty’s 123 member states may file their international applications with WIPO at a reduced fee of up to 300 Swiss francs.
