Schering, Mylan Settle Generic Clarinex Patent Case

Law360, New York (April 08, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc. and Schering Corp. have reached an agreement in patent litigation over Clarinex that will allow the generics maker to begin selling a copycat version of the allergy medicine in July 2012.

The agreement allowing Mylan to make desloratadine in 5 mg tablets resolves all claims pending between the two pharmaceutical rivals in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, the companies said Wednesday.
