Law360, New York (April 21, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- A judge has agreed to stay the execution of a $7.2 million judgment against Daewoo Electronics Corp. for allegedly infringing VCR technology patents held by Funai Electric Co. Ltd. once Daewoo has posted a supersedeas bond of $9 million.
Judge Joseph Spero of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on Monday clarified his April 9 order, which requires Daewoo to pay a bond equal to 125 percent of the judgment against it.
