Law360, New York (April 28, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- A federal judge has enjoined two discount cigarette Web sites from using Philip Morris trademarks, in a case claiming a slew of online merchants co-opted iconic images such as the Marlboro Man to hawk illegal tobacco.
Judge George B. Daniels of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York filed an amended ruling on Monday, granting judgment in Philip Morris' favor on a number of trademark infringement claims against two companies: Discountcigarettes.com and Nationwideshoppingcart.com.
