Law360, New York (June 04, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- McDermott Will & Emery LLP has laid off 25 attorneys and 47 staff, bringing the total number of people laid off at the firm this year to 221.
In a firmwide memo posted Thursday on the legal blog Above the Law, chairman Harvey Freishtat said that “this difficult decision results from a careful review of the current and projected needs of our clients.”
