Law360, New York (June 25, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- The Senate has passed two resolutions to proceed with the impeachment trial of U.S. Judge Samuel Kent, who was convicted of lying about sexually harassing two female assistants, just days after the U.S. House of Representatives voted unanimously for his impeachment.
On Wednesday, the Senate passed SR 202 to issue a summons to Judge Kent regarding the charges against him as well as SR 203 to appoint a committee to weigh the evidence against the disgraced federal judge.
