Law360, New York (June 26, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- Judge Samuel Kent — the disgraced judge now in prison for lying about sexually harassing two assistants — has finally resigned, a move that came on the heels of the U.S. Senate's initiation of his impeachment trial.
On Thursday, Judge Kent resubmitted his resignation, which will go into effect June 30. He initially resigned effective June 10, 2010, which would have allowed him to draw his $174,000 annual salary while serving a 33-month prison sentence.
