Mayer Brown Asks Deferred Associates To Start Early

Law360, New York (September 01, 2009, 6:31 PM ET) -- Mayer Brown LLP reportedly will ask about half of its New York-based first-year associates to start earlier than expected this year, making it the second law firm to do so in the last week.

The news could be a sign of a reversal of the ongoing trend of deferring start dates for new hires, a move numerous firms have been forced to make amid the recession.
