Law360, New York (January 07, 2010, 5:31 PM ET) -- Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP became the latest firm to scale back associate salaries Thursday, cutting base compensation for first-year associates in its offices outside New York to $145,000.
Pillsbury said it had reduced 2010 first-year associate base salaries to $145,000 a year, except for associates at its New York office, where first-year salaries will remain at $160,000.
First-year associates outside New York will be eligible to earn a $15,000 bonus if they meet target hours, according to the firm.
