Law360, New York (January 19, 2010, 5:45 PM ET) -- Fees from alternative billing contributed about $7 billion in revenue in 2008 among the nation's top 100 law firms, and the use of alternative fee structures is likely to increase in coming years, according to a new report from legal consulting firm LegalBizDev.
The company, which released the results of the study Tuesday, contacted each firm on the AmLaw 100 and received responses from 37 of them. The findings are based on in-depth interviews with chairmen, senior partners and other executives, LegalBizDev said.
