Obama, High Court Clash In Public

Law360, New York (January 27, 2010, 10:11 PM ET) -- In a rare moment of public tension between a U.S. President and the Supreme Court, President Obama scolded the Supreme Court in his State of the Union Wednesday night even as at least one justice shook his head in disagreement.

“With all due deference to separation of powers, the Supreme Court reversed a century of law that I believe will open the floodgates for special interest, including foreign corporations, to spend without limit in our elections,” the President said.
