Law360, New York (March 11, 2010, 5:49 PM ET) -- The U.S. House of Representatives on Thursday voted unanimously to impeach U.S. District Judge G. Thomas Porteous of the Eastern District of Louisiana, who was accused of taking bribes in exchange for favorable rulings and a slew of other ethics violations.
The vote came weeks after the House Judiciary Committee voted unanimously to approve all four articles of impeachment against the tarnished judge, who was nominated to the federal court in 1994 by President Bill Clinton.
