Law360, New York (June 30, 2010, 3:09 PM ET) -- The U.S. Senate has confirmed former Illinois solicitor general and current Sidley Austin LLP litigation partner Gary Feinerman to fill a vacancy on the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
Senators voted 88-0 Monday to confirm Feinerman, whose nomination has been pending more than 10 weeks since it was reported out of the Senate Judiciary Committee on April 15. He was nominated to the district court bench by President Barack Obama on Feb. 24.
