Salary Survey: Competition Heats Up Across U.S.

Law360, New York (February 06, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- Law firms across the United States are racing to hike the pay for first-year associates, according to our city-by-city survey of the country's top legal markets.

Not only have most New York firms increased base salaries for associates to $160,000, but in an effort to stay competitive, 11 firms have raised pay to $160,000 in other markets as well, according to our nationwide salary survey. (See our separate article today on top-tier salaries.)
