Jenkens & Gilchrist Implodes After Tax Scandal

Law360, New York (March 09, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- Jenkens & Gilchrist has watched hundreds of its attorneys walk out the door in the aftermath of a tax shelter scandal and expects more attorneys to depart, which could leave little or nothing left of the firm.

Boasting 620 lawyers in 2001, the Dallas-based firm has drastically shrunk down to 211 lawyers this month. Further losses could put the survival of Jenkens into question.
