Law360, New York (February 04, 2011, 8:21 PM ET) -- Federal lobbying activity hit a plateau for the first time in a decade in 2010 following a record $3.49 billion spent in 2009, according to research group the Center for Responsive Politics.
Businesses, unions, trade groups, universities and other organizations spent $3.47 billion on lobbying last year, according to the center’s analysis of lobbying reports, of which approximately 90 percent are available from the year’s fourth-quarter filings.
