Linklaters, Allen & Overy Freeze London Salaries

Law360, New York (May 13, 2011, 8:23 PM ET) -- While spring has proven a bounty for many, less so for associates at U.K. powerhouses Linklaters LLP and Allen & Overy LLP, where associate salaries will reportedly stay at or near 2009 levels.

Linklaters on Thursday announced that it would follow Allen & Overy’s provident example and freeze its U.K. associate salary pay for another year, with newly qualified associates making £61,500 ($100,000), those with one year of qualification under the belt pulling in £68,000, and senior associates £85,000, Legalweek.com reported.
