Law360, New York (January 05, 2012, 5:29 PM ET) -- Law firm merger activity, which had all but dried up during the recession, made a big jump in 2011, according to a legal management firm that tracks mergers among U.S.-based firms.
There were 60 mergers involving U.S. law firms in 2011, a 54 percent increase from the 39 mergers in 2010 and the highest total since 2008, according to Altman Weil Inc.
