Law360, New York (February 14, 2012, 4:30 PM ET) -- New York Chief Judge Jonathan Lippman said Tuesday that he was pushing forward to establish a new foreclosure section in New York City courts and a statewide, paperless judiciary system in 2012 — just two of his goals for the year.
In his state of the judiciary address, Judge Lippman also highlighted the need to bring in more commercial judges, establish caseload limits for public defenders, reduce wrong convictions and establishing a new and separate legal process for 16- and 17-year-old defendants.
