Herbert Smith, Freehills To Merge, Expand Internationally

Law360, New York (June 28, 2012, 5:35 PM ET) -- London-based Herbert Smith LLP and Australia-based Freehills have merged to form one international law firm, which they say will open offices in New York, South Korea, Germany and Africa, the firms said Thursday.

Herbert Smith Managing Partner David Willis said Herbert Smith and Freehills believe that the market for premium legal services will be dominated by a small number of global firms over the next few years.
