Law360, New York (July 20, 2012, 9:10 PM ET) -- A Michigan federal judge on Friday threw out a putative class action claiming Thomas M. Cooley Law School fraudulently inflated the employment figures of its graduates, saying the students shouldn't have relied on the school’s “untrustworthy” reports.
U.S. District Judge Gordon J. Quist said in his opinion that Cooley’s employment reports were “inconsistent, confusing and inherently untrustworthy,” and that prospective students should have heeded the red flags before deciding to apply to the school.
